Observation on the paramolar Tubercles of the permanent Maxillary Molars in Korean

Abstract
|
|
|
Authors were investigated on the frequency, bilateralism, right and left sides and location of
mmolar tubercle in permanent maxillary molars from 6.088 Students of Seoul national University
anging in age from 17 to 26 years. `;Obtainted value was as follows;
1. The frequency of the paramolar tubercles was 0.43 per cent.
2. Comparison of paramolar tubercles in right and left maxillary molars was followings
(a) maxillary first molars.
male : left, 3 cases. right, 2 cases.
female : left, none. right, 2 cases.
(b) Maxillary second molars.
male: left, 16 cases. right, 7 cases.
female: left, 2 cases. right, 1 cases.
3. Frequency of paramolar tubercles in maxillary first ´molars was 0. 13 per cent, Maxillary Second molars was 0.30 per cent.
4. Bilateralism of para polar tubercle. w
male : maxillary first molars 1 case.
maxillary second molars 4 case.
female : maxillary first molars, none.
maxillary second molars, 1 case.
5. Non-bi lateral ism of paramolar tubercle.
male : maxillary first molars, 3 cases.
maxillary second molars, 15 cases.
female : maxillary first molars, 2 cases.
maxillary second molars, 1 case.
6. Favorite site was on the buccal pit area.
